Give me a word, and me and my fandom will find a Supernatural gif to go with it. Come on Superanturalists.
you guys are sad
im so sorry
This week was a better week than normal. Yesterday, I woke up early to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, always nice, while Mom started to make dinner. In past years, either Gram made dinner, we went out, or we went to our cousins. However, we didn’t want to travel, and Gram’s health is deteriorating, so we decided to make it this year. It was surprisingly easy to make the turkey, and it turned out better than expected. There was also vegan stuffing (we aren’t vegan, but we like to try), green bean casserole (green beans with French’s cheesy onions and cream of chicken/cream of mushroom soup), two types of cranberry sauce (one with orange rinds, one without), and apple and pumpkin pie. It was one of the best dinners in years.
We went shopping afterwards at 8PM at the local mall, for Black Friday. Always fun, we bought a lot of stuff at Macy’s and some socks from Old Navy. The crowds got thicker as it approached midnight, with plenty of bags in every hand. Everything was at least 50% off everywhere, except for the food court. By the time we were done, it was 1:45 AM
Also this week, there was a Linear test, which I think I did better on than last week. Dad is finally getting a new car (after 15 years, and several broken components). Couple of doctor appointments, as well as a blood draw (only one vial this time!). Umm… There was something else… Oh yes, I managed to partition a piece of my Mac to Windows to play Skyrim, as Mom has my main Skyrim playing computer at the moment (won it, as well as a Surface RT, as part of a National Award). That wasn’t really hard, but actually getting Skyrim on it is. The tools meant to help the Windows partition access some of my drives, as well as right-click help and wireless, didn’t want to install. Something about formatting a drive to FAT, which I thought I did. Might have to switch to the Wine method, which got me pretty far before. If any of you guys have any ideas, they will be appreciated.
Not sure if I covered this (I want to day no), but I thoroughly enjoyed the Doctor Who 50th. The War Doctor was great, and I don’t mind Gallifrey coming back (I think the Doctor might regret it later, though).
Also, I hit 100 followers! Not sure whether to do a giveaway or not, because my Mom will probably notice if I sent something, and upsetting here is not desired.
So this week was kinda fun, while rather busy.
The main thing was a sleepover at Purdue University. It was a chance for me to experience university life before going to college. I got to eat in the dining halls, go to classes (only Calc III, which I completed last term, so I actually knew more than the student!), sleep in the dorms, and even went to an event. The event went from 9PM-1AM, and while we (me and some friends I made there) weren’t there for the whole time, we got to do all the activities, including non-alcoholic daiquiris and spray tattoos, while a local band played. Earlier that day, we found a booth Samsung had rolled out to display their newest phones. The most interesting by far was the Gear, which looks like the old, square iPod nano, but with more features, incorporated into a wristband. But while the technology shows was very advanced, it frequently glitched, like transferring data between two G4s by touching them, which didn’t want to activate. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and Purdue has moved up on my list.
I had my MIT interview this week at a local Starbucks. It lasted an hour, which such questions as “if you had $2 million and an MIT education, what would you do, ” and was moderated by a recently graduated (last year) architect. I hope I did better than I thought I did, even with a few flops at the end.
In Java, I learned that Tic-Tac-Toe can be a hard thing. Somehow, the winning conditions didn’t want to respond or were incorrect half the time, and the undo button didn’t quite work as it should, even though the logic made sense.
Linear algebra is somehow getting easier. Must be the eigenvalues.
While I am excited for The Day of the Doctor, tbh I don’t have high hopes for it. Well, not as high as I previously had. Definitely more excited for The Five(ish) Doctors and the Monty Python reunion.
Anonymous asked: I saw you liked Monty Python and instantly followed!!! <3
That’s wonderful! Glad you enjoy my blog!

Umm… sounds slightly romantic… Not sure how I feel about this…
Any of you guys going to Purdue SWE Senior Sleepover day this weekend?
Yes, I know I didn’t post last week. It was so hectic, I said “Screw it” and decided to post two weeks info today.
I went to the Phipps flower show with my Mom last friday. There was an unexpected train exhibit where the town was overrun by Dinos. It was well put-together, using varieties of plants that resembled both modern-day trees and prehistoric trees. There were also a lot of Mums
I had to submit my Java assignment under the wire, again, as well as two Linear Alg assignments. All of them I got good scores on, so I must be becoming quite the master of procrastination.
There was a Physics test. I don’t know torque, so I got killed on that part, but I am very good on gravitation, so I know I did well there.
People everywhere complemented me on my rainbow Macbook keyboard cover. One person even took a picture of it to send to her friend.
And I officially got into Pitt for college. Yes, I’m already taking classes there, but they are through the “College in High School” options, not “officially” as college classes in college.
The score is:
Next should be either CO School of Mines or Purdue.
I have a little heart shaped birthmark on my left butt cheek.
I don’t know what exactly happened in my past life but I know there’s a joke in there somewhere.
Damn, mine is on my side. I wonder who stabbed me in the ribs and for what reason???
so i’m gonna go ahead and guess i was stabbed in the back then…
Someone got a bit rough with my breasts…
someone cut off my ring-finger?
JUDGING BY THE SHAPE AND LOCATION OF MY MAIN BIRTHMARK
I DIED OF AN ARROW TO THE KNEE
Somebody cut off my left shoulder
I got shot in the butt :I
one on my cheek and one on the base of my spine
i wanna know what shit went down there
Hips, an a birth bruise on my left shoulder blade
I have a huge birthmark on my back, I have one on my neck, and other big one on my leg. Geez, what did I do.
I think something went through my cheek…
I’ve got something right under my heart.
I… I don’t have a birthmark…. O.O
Considering I have a birthmark right about where my stomach is (or just below my bottom rib on the left side) that is shaped like Australia…. I’m assuming the death was eventful, at least.
I got killed a lot on my arms and shoulders. And, for some odd reason, on the pad of my left pinkie finger. How can you kill someone by doing something to the pad of their left pinkie finger? Unless it got chopped off and I bled to death. But that would take a while…
This week, I started in the home run for some early deadlines for Common App schools, such as Purdue, and a Java project due on Halloween. Found a good tutor for Linear, who was soon debunked by the professor. Well, tutor’s way was easier to understand, but prof’s way was quicker (if you knew what to do).
After 3 straight weekends of waking up early to fold at the Science Center, it’s nice for a small break to sleep in.
Also, there was a wedding on Saturday, between a somewhat-distant relative and some guy named Adam. The venue was nice (the Grand Concourse, see above pic), and there was free food (from the guest’s point of view). Half of the people didn’t know who I was.
And one last thing. I’ve seen several people around Tumblr wanting to do a virtual trick-or-treat. If you message me on Halloween (all day), “trick-or-treat” or similar, I will be giving out a small treat.
